AJ joined Beyond the Saddle years ago after retiring from the B-circuit jumpers and is now enjoying his golden years with us. As one of the oldest horses on the farm, he still has plenty of spirit—especially when running around the pasture with his pal, Gypsy! Through our ground-based programming, AJ receives regular love and attention from participants, sharing his company and experience with a new generation of horse lovers.

Autumn is a beautiful Quarter Pony in her mid-teens who joined Beyond the Saddle from a local rescue. Kind and spirited, she helps our intermediate riders and some of our assisted beginners learn how breathing and managing their own energy can influence their communication with a horse. This resilient, dependable girl is a valued member of our lesson program and especially enjoys heading out for a trail ride!

Bella is a beautiful, 14-year-old Rocky Mountain mare and a treasured member of our full-assist riding program at Beyond the Saddle. Her incredibly kind, calm nature and steady way of going make her a beloved partner we count on to help riders feel comfortable and confident as they learn. Bella loves children and is always eager to “help” with games in the arena, bringing her own special charm to every lesson.

Glitter is a miniature pony mare with a big personality and a memorable backstory! She joined Beyond the Saddle from a local rescue with her very own police report: “Pony at large!” These days, she enjoys life on the farm, where her small stature and colorful history make her an unforgettable member of our herd. We’re happy her adventures brought her to us!

Gypsy is an Arabian mare estimated to be in her late 20s who joined Beyond the Saddle after being adopted from a rescue of 10 Arabians through a local humane society. In her golden years, she remains spirited and full of playful energy, with a BIG personality that makes her hard to overlook! She especially enjoys romping around the pasture with her buddy, AJ, and reminds us that growing older doesn’t mean losing your spark.

Haaland is a 9-year-old Dutch Warmblood/Dutch Harness cross gelding with a big heart to match his impressive size. Kind and talented under saddle, he is a valued partner in our riding program, helping participants develop their skills and confidence. This big boy has plenty to teach us about clear communication, thoughtful riding, and the connection between horse and rider.

Indy is a Thoroughbred gelding who joined Beyond the Saddle from a local humane society. Known as the farm’s unofficial sentry, he keeps a watchful eye on the happenings around him and takes a curious interest in visitors. His stoic presence and quiet charm make him a beloved member of our herd.

Oliver is an 8-year-old miniature donkey with a knack for mischief and a personality that keeps us entertained. Whether he’s spending time with his pal Glitter or finding ways to stir up a little fun around the barn, Oliver brings plenty of charm to life at Beyond the Saddle!

Scooter is a 14-year-old off-the-track Thoroughbred who joined Beyond the Saddle through Galloping Out in 2025. An independent spirit, he enjoys playing in the snow and spending time with his herd. Scooter currently works exclusively with our staff as we explore a future role for him in ground-based Equine Assisted Learning. His thoughtful care reminds us of the importance of respecting each horse’s individuality and allowing relationships to develop at their own pace.

Jackson & Savannah are our beloved resident farm cats. Jackson, a senior brown tabby, prefers to keep a watchful eye from a distance and values his quiet independence. Savannah, a mature calico, is his social opposite-always the first to greet visitors and happy to make everyone feel welcome. Together, they keep the farm balanced, cared for, and full of character.
